The weather was always going to play an important role in this game. With the wind and an obvious slope going in the same direction, there would be a big advantage to the team kicking downhill.

Our game plan was to kick against the wind in the 1st half and keep things as tight as possible. Then hopefully we could go on to win it in the 2nd half when the advantage was ours.

We defended well for 15 minutes but it seemed inevitable that we would eventually concede. A goalmouth scramble lead to the 1st goal. It was from this point that we had a nightmare last 10 mins of the 1st half. Panic had set in and the basics had gone out of the window.

Approaching half time it was 2-0, which I would have taken before the game. I think the 3rd goal in the last minute was the most decisive point of the match. I thought 3 would be too many.

A triple substitution seemed to change our fortunes, as well as the obvious wind advantage. Lewis, Rob and Sonny all featured in a good 2nd half performance.

We can take a lot from the game even though we lost. In the 2nd half we seemed to gain belief in ourselves as an attacking force. Phil, Scott and Sonny seemed to have the belief that midfielders can score goals too. This is something we have lacked so desperately this season.

As usual Graham scored our goals with two excellent finishes after good build up play. Phil and Rob both came close to scoring which was positive for the upcoming games.

Congratulations to Scott who capped the team for the 1st time in Rob and Deans absence. He thoroughly deserved his man of the match award.

And as a final note it was fantastic to see Robert back in the side. He adds a drive to our midfield and he seems to bring the best out of the people around him. I for one got a lift at seeing him out there.
