This weeks game saw the Ravens traveling along the M42 and into Warwickshire to meet high flying Feckenham Juniors who are currently third in the table and having a great season.

Ravens were without three players this week, Matthew , Jordan and Joshua, who is still ill so Lenie was captain for the day. Another freezing morning again with a pitch that appeared frozen on top so the boys were told to be on guard as the ground was very bumpy.

After the usual pre-match warm up Ravens began well and after 2 minutes Ashley played a good ball to Midfielder Robert who shot from outside of the box which hit the Feckenham defender and rebounded off Robert for a goalkick.

The game took a turn for the good after 6 minutes when a ball played into the box was handled by a Feckenham defender and the referee rightly awarded a penalty to the Ravens. Up stepped Jonathan but his penalty was wide of the target. Only two minutes later and Feckenham's first attack nearly brought about a goal. A good run from their midfielder was passed wide on the left, the ball was crossed in and the Ravens defence failed to clear and the forward smashed a shot onto the underside of the bar, luckily for Ravens it stayed out and was eventually cleared.

Robert and Lenie worked hard to keep the Feckenham midfield at bay  but more pressure from Feckenham from the midfield led to their first goal. A long ball punted forward came to the Feckenham striker, and although James tried to get a tackle in, the striker carried on and rounded Ryan, but then appeared to mis-hit in front of goal but unluckily for the Ravens it trickled agonisingly over the line.

Although the pitch was still hard, the Ravens were tackling hard and well and set about getting the equaliser. It came after 12 minutes when the ball found Robert on the right who seemed to cross the ball but his shot took the Feckenham keeper by suprise and the shot went under the keeper into the net. All square at 1-1.

The Ravens were then immediately under pressure from the restart but some good defending and keeping from Ryan who was hurt after a brave save at the feet of the opposition striker.

However, Feckenham's pressure told soon after when a brilliant drag back by the Feckenham forward gave him the opportunity to shoot a low shot past Ryan's far hand post. It then took only another 2 minutes for the opposition to go further ahead when a cross from the right found a Feckenham player unmarked who shot past Ryan to make it 3-1.

No further chances came at either end after the 3rd goal and Ravens went into the half time break 3-1 down.

Feckenham carried on where they left off straight after the break and were unlucky not to go 4-1 up. A break down the middle found thier striker 1 on 1 with the Ravens keeper but screwed his shot wide at the last minute.

The Ravens were now working tremendously hard especially in Midfield where Declan, Robert and Lenie were getting their tackles in to stop anymore Feckenham attacks. Ashley came back into Midfield and Declan dropped back leaving Jonathan the only one forward. Ashley was now picking up a lot of loose balls and after 15 minutes of the second half a good pass by Ashley found Lenie who's shot was heading goalwards but hit a Feckenham defender and was cleared upfield. The loose ball found the Feckenham striker who's shot was brilliantly saved by the feet of Ryan. A corner from this save was looped in but the Ravens watched as it clipped the top of the net and out for a goalkick.

An even better save was to come from Ryan minutes after. Feckenham found themselves with a great opportunity to score and the shot was hit high and hard but Ryan flung himself at the ball to make a tremendous save.

The final whistle blew a minute after leaving Olton Ravens with nothing to show for their gritty and determined effort.
