Team: Ryan, Dean, Declan, Joshua, Robert , Jordan , Jonathan

Score: 2-3

For the first time this year the Ravens played in bright morning sunshine and had a softer pitch to play which made a pleasant change from the hard surfaces the boys have played on in recent weeks.

Still out injured was Lenie and also missing were James and Matthew. Mark decided to switch team captain Joshua into midfield with Declan dropping back to defence on the right side alongside Dean.

From the kick off Olton exerted pressure on Catshill with early runs from Jordan , one such run was from the halfway line but shot only inches wide of the upright. The Ravens forced 2 early corners which came to nothing however the Ravens went 1-0 after 8 minutes from a corner on the right hand side. A well flighted kick from Robert caught the Catshill goalkeeper unawares and the ball bent back in and into the net. 1-0 Ravens.

Robert and Joshua were running the midfield well during the first half keeping Catshill to only a couple of attacks. On each occasion the Ravens were caught too far forward when attacking but Dean and Declan managed to keep the opposition from scoring.

The second half came with Ashley replacing Jonathan. Catshill came out looking for the equaliser and pushed and pressed the Ravens more, especially in midfield where Joshua and Robert had to work extra hard in the midfield battle. Joshua and Jonathan took heavy tackles for their troubles but carried on after treatment.

After 4 minutes of the second half Catshill got the equaliser from a free kick. The tall Catshill midfielder fired in a hard shot from outside the area which bounced in between Declan and keeper Ryan and into the net. Free kicks given away by Olton were causing the home team problems and from another, Catshill nearly went 2-1 up. A well taken free kick from the same Catshill player was brilliantly headed off the line by Joshua.

The Ravens went 2-1 after 8 minutes after a free kick on the right hand side after Jonathan was fouled. Robert took the free kick into the area, Jonathan flicked the ball towards goal and on its way in, took a deflection off the Catshill defender and into the net.

The Ravens celebrations did not last long though. Catshill, who were at this time growing in confidence, played a ball down the right hand side, and with the defence drawn over to the right, a good ball across the area found the Catshill forward unmarked. He made no mistake and fired low past Ryan.

The Ravens were now trying to cling on to a valuable point but disaster hit within only seconds to go. A corner from the right swung in towards goal and went over the heads of the Olton defence and into the path of the Catshill striker who forced the ball home to make it 3-2. Olton did not have time to recover and the whistle went seconds after the Catshill winner.
